Opera Mini App reaches select Verizon Wireless Feature phones

Verizon Logo Verizon customers who were complaining about their inability to benefit from Opera’s ground-breaking mobile browser are finally given a relief. The company recently brought the super fast Opera Mini on its select Feature mobile phones, comprising LG enV2, LG enV3, LG enV Touch, Samsung Alias 2, Casio G’zOne Ravine and Casio G’zOne Rock, with additional models to be added in the near future.

By taking advantage of the powerful browser, users can indulge in incredibly smooth web browsing. The application enables desktop-like web browsing, subsuming access to expanded set of Internet sites on Feature devices.

“Getting Opera Mini on the Verizon Wireless network is a big milestone, as we are able to reach Verizon Wireless’ vast customer base. We are happy that Verizon Wireless customers will now have access to a superior browser and, in the future, we will be launching more devices with Opera Mini pre-installed, “commented Lars Boilesen, chief executive officer, Opera Software.

Apart from this, Verizon is offering Content Filters that allow parents to manage a safe browsing experience for their children. Currently available on six mobile phones, the feature-loaded Opera Mini will come preloaded later this year as the primary browser on select devices. Users with Android-powered devices can also download the app from Android Market.

Feature phones users can get the app from the Media Center/Get It Now or can download it from Verizon Wireless online media store.
