The Opera browser beta has been introduced for Android versions 2.3 and above the maker has gotten rid of its old engine and adopted WebKit as a replacement. The Norwegian company claims that the entire app has been rebuilt from scratch.

The Opera WebKit browser will now possess a remodeled interface that has been designed to match specifications of the said platform. One of the more noticeable features would have to be the Discover panel that shows up on the startup screen. Trending articles are popped up through this utility and readers can have their pick from sections like sports, technology, lifestyle and news.

The maker has retained the popular Speed Dial tool and has refurbished it by merging bookmarks and entries to render a user-friendly experience. The developer has also made organizing all the pre-saved details easier by permitting customers to do so with a simple touch. When hit by troublesome network connectivity or by exorbitant roaming charges, consumers can switch to the Off Road mode that expedites surfing by compressing data.

In order to make the layout minimalistic and more presentable, the coders have fused the search and address bars into one field. Multiple tabs can be opened up now through this pre-release edition and even be sorted as per users’ wishes on their phones. Similar to its desktop version, it has also been enabled to consent to private browsing.
