The OnePlus 6 is coming to India on May 17, a day after the phone makes its international debut in London at 5 pm BST (9:30 pm IST). The brand is hosting an event in Mumbai at 3 pm and is set to offer tickets for the occasion starting from May 8 at 10 am.
Each ticket will set you back by Rs 999 and grant you a bunch of goodies like a OnePlus Tote Bag, Avengers Cap, Avengers T-shirt, OnePlus Notebook, Cash Cannon, and OnePlus Voucher worth Rs 999. If you’re wondering why there’s going to be so much Avengers merchandise, the company has actually tied up with Marvel.
This has lead many people to believe that there’s a special Avengers edition of the OnePlus 6 on the cards. The brand had done the same thing last year with the OnePlus 5T, releasing a limited-edition Star Wars variant of the phone to celebrate the The Last Jedi. This time the tie-in movie is Avengers: Infinity War.
OnePlus hasn’t revealed just when the smartphone will go up for sale yet. A recent GSMArena report points to May 21 as a possible candidate. It seems a member of the firm’s new Lab program got an email from the brand telling him he was part of the team and the launch date of the device was May 21.
OnePlus’ Lab program is currently seeking people who want to test the OnePlus 6 ahead of everyone else and write a review for the OnePlus community. Submissions are open till May 2 and the final team will be announced on May 12. You can sign up for it here.
