The Yu Yuphoria can be bought via open sale for three days from July 21 to July 23, which means no more registrations or anxiety for people averse to flash sales. The company is trying to appeal to patriotic folks, saying that the 100000 handsets being sold are all made in India.
It’s also set to make an announcement on July 20. The Micromax-owned manufacturer hasn’t made it clear if they’re releasing a new phone or an enhanced version of the Yu Yuphoria or Yureka. Based on the teaser videos, it looks to be a rugged device that can withstand daily wear and tear.
To recall, the dual-SIM Yuphoria is priced at Rs 6999 and continues to be available only on Amazon India. It contains Android 5.0.2 Lollipop-based Cyanogen 12 and a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. The phone comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front lens.

The 4G-enabled Yuphoria device has a 5-inch 720p HD display kept safe by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its 2230mAh battery can supposedly charge up to 65% in 45 minutes. On the memory front, it has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS.
