A publisher of mobile entertainment Ojom, has announced their win at 2007 German Developer Awards for successful game adaptation of the animated series, Starship Troopers-Roughnecks. The game was published earlier this year.
In the people choice category the action packed game won the award for the Best Mobile Action Game.
The German Developer Award winners were announced on December 12th, 2007 in Essen, Germany. The people attending the event included jury of journalist, game consultants and leading game website and even the gamers.
Thomas Brockhage, General Manager of Ojom GmbH, commented, “Starship Troopers has been an incredibly popular game with our customers and Elocom did a great job developing the game. We are delighted to have been nominated and to receive such a prestigious award.”
The mobile game Starship Troopers-Roughnecks allows the players to adventure into the unknown alien world fighting against an army of giant and extremely hostile bugs. The players are thrown into battle with a mission to blast the alien arachnids before they erase the mankind.
Ojom’s Elocom game was also nominated for the Best Mobile Game which hit the game Cubes and Best Casual Game in the People’s Choice category.
Cubes have a novel block style format with sets of 3D colored cubes dropped in to the sea which forms a set of colors. This game is simple and but the players get addicted. Thus due to its demand across the country the game has been on top of the charts.
Both the Starship Troopers and Cubes games are available on Java and BREW enabled mobile phones via the mobile operators and consumer content portals worldwide.
