OfficeMax may have just upped the fun quotient for party starters with the Holiday Party Bingo for iPhone. This app lets users connect with each other over forthcoming events, share pictures in real-time and nominate friends or work colleagues for various humorous categories.
The aforesaid categories include titles like ‘Last Man Standing’, ‘Appetizer King’, ‘Most Elftastic’ and ‘World’s Wildest Dancer’. Users need to start an event at Holiday Party Bingo on Facebook by inviting friends or coworkers and choosing from a dozen categories in order to customize the Holiday Party Bingo board. The app can be used with or without its Facebook version, the latter of which works like a game on the SNS.
“It’s a tradition at OfficeMax to spread cheer during the holiday season, and this year, we’re bringing cheer and delight to party-goers across the country with the launch of our new Holiday Party Bingo mobile application. Through this application, we hope to offer party-goers an innovative and new way to interact around holiday events, share experiences, and keep the holiday fun going before and after each event,” remarked Bob Thacker, SVP of marketing and advertising for OfficeMax.
Invitees are allowed to elect people for a category on the board via a special event page on Facebook. Those who visit the said page get a special code that provides access to the board on the respective iPhone devices. Attendees of the live event can watch the custom party board, take pictures and upload them to the SNS. The party photos can be viewed, tagged in a special Facebook slideshow and the winners of each category applauded, after the event.
OfficeMax’s mobile team has designed this app in collaboration with Rosetta. The company also announced the launch of their holiday eGreeting website called ElfYourself.com that’s powered by JibJab. Those who like collecting fun memories can order a keepsake 2011 calendar through OfficeMax ImPress.
Holiday Party Bingo for iPhone is available for free on the App Store. OfficeMax fans on Facebook can win points and swap them at Santa’s Workshop for shopping promotions at Office Max by playing the new Elfmas Town games.
