Nokia, Telecom Italia (TIM) partner to offer Internet Services to Mobile Users

TIM and Nokia logo Nokia has come together with Telecom Italia to offer new internet services on mobile phones. This internet service will be available on Nokia handsets through TIM. This agreement will help the people to find and enjoy internet services not only from Nokia and TIM but also any other network operator.

Since Nokia has collaborated with TIM, TIM users will be able to enjoy the benefits of all Nokia services through the Multimedia Menu, which is already embedded in the handset.

Nokia users will also be benefited, as TIM offers easy internet service which can be accessed by the users on their handsets. Nokia N95 8GB and Nokia N81 will be the first mobile phones that will have the customize menus which will provide easy access to both these services.

“We want to provide TIM mobile customers with the best mobile experience and by working with Nokia, we ensure that our customers have access to the best in internet services. Nokia and other Internet services will be able to take advantage of TIM’s high quality mobile broadband network,” saidRiccardo Jelmini, Telecom Italia Executive Vice President VAS, Domestic Mobile Services.

According to Jyrki Salminen, Senior Vice President, Nokia Multimedia, “We’re extremely excited about this collaboration as I believe it can pave the way for a new way of working throughout our industry.”

He further continued, “Ease of use has always been at heart of Nokia devices and this collaboration is an important step in creating the same for Internet services. Nokia devices and services are based on open standards making it easy for us to work with forward thinking operators such as TIM to provide consumers with a choice about which internet services they want to access from their mobile device.”
