Nokia T7-00 to don a N8-like garb?

Nokia T7-00

Last week, we reported about the Nokia T7-00 being in the offing. While the manufacturer has tightly sealed its lips on this matter, we’ve come across some more evidence which suggests that the handset is indeed arriving to the arena. According to a post on IntoMobile, a Chinese website namely PCPop has revealed some leaked images of the T7-00 which unearth a striking resemblance between it and the company’s other handset dubbed the N8.

Apparently, this device has been referred to as a variant of the Nokia N8, devoid of the hugely popular 12MP auto focus cameras endowed with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash. It is rumored to feature an 8 megapixel camera instead while the pentaband 3G support has been replaced by a radio for handling China’s TD-SCDMA standard.

Rumor has it that the micro-USB port is pushed behind the plastic cover enclosing the mini-HDMI jack in the case of the N8. Further, the Symbian^3-powered handset supposedly comes equipped with ARM 11 700MHz processor, 3D graphics hardware accelerator, Bluetooth and support for wireless LAN as well as GSM/WCDMA/HSDPA networks.

As mentioned earlier, Nokia has not issued an official statement regarding this new handset. However, we are looking forward to hearing from the company about the Nokia T7-00 for the Chinese market.
