Nokia rolls out slim and swift E72 handset

Nokia adds one more device to its array of mobile phones with the Nokia E72. This advanced device has slim dimensions and offers complete messaging solution. The phone is efficient for performing personal as well as professional work.

The handset boasts of the QWERTY keyboard with a rich mobile email and instant messaging experience. With the advanced technology provided, users will avail of instant messaging accounts provided by Nokia Messaging from the homescreen directly. Users will be capable of connecting to numerous IM accounts without any difficulty.

Ilari Nurmi, Vice President at Nokia mentioned, “Despite the outstanding market performance of the Nokia E71, we still continually look for ways to enhance the device. So we included the desktop like email experience from the Nokia E75 and gave it a new optical navigation key for more intuitive scrolling through menus, emails and fast panning of images. We also upgraded the camera to 5 megapixels and added a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.”

The faster Internet uplink and downlink speeds provided by the phone give better performance to users. Moreover, the handset incorporates A-GPS and a range of integrated maps that include lifetime walk. If this service is activated within three months users also get 10 days of turn-by-turn navigation facility. The torch can be used simply by pressing the spacebar key once and the voice quality is enhanced with active noise cancellation. The updated version of Quickoffice assists in updating office capabilities. This service allows compatibility with Microsoft Office 2007 and the free version can also be upgraded when new features.

The Nokia E72 will be available for a price of €350 in the late third quarter of 2009.
