Nokia Research Center reveals mobile radar concept

Nokia Logo In this mobile era, the technological advancements are sky high. There have been several innovations in the mobile arena. Nokia Research Center (NRC) now demos its radar sensor which measures speed and direction of movement of objects similar to a traditional Radar.

NRC displayed this new research concept at Demo House 2010 research exhibition in Espoo, Finland. It utilizes electromagnetic waves to offer a different type of mobile wireless sensing. Well, we may see mobile phones boastings such features in future.

The research concept provides new ways to users to interact with their device. It could also lead to radar enabled applications which can be used in several fields such as sports, entertainment and so on.

This mobile radar concept is among the 40 demonstrations displayed at Demo House 2010 which was jointly held by Aalto University, the Technical Research Center of Finland (VTT) and Nokia Research Center (NRC).
