Nokia Ovi Store Logo The giant mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia is planning to launch its Ovi Store soon with an array of useful applications that will cater to the needs of its loyal customers. According to Electronista, the company will launch its store with the inclusion of 20,000 items.

Supposedly, this Ovi Store should include short-form videos, custom applications, general applications as well as games from N-Gage. It is reported that the company will use GPS to filter content with city guides and other local tools in order to efficiently manage the global scope of the store.

It is also said that the store will be available in different languages and with distinct cultural content. Besides, the finnish company is apparently facing resistance from US carriers for supporting the Ovi Store.

With an impressive launch of the Nokia Ovi Store with 20,000 applications it might just give tough competition to Application Stores of various manufacturers in the near future.

The Nokia Ovi Store is expected to launch in late spring.
