From May 31, 2012, the Nokia Ovi Share service will no longer be accessible to users. After this date, the website is expected to be completely pulled down from the internet.

Users have till May 30 to download all their content which has been saved on this sharing website through individual accounts. They can do this by accessing the Ovi Share web page via their PCs. After signing into their accounts, members can click ‘download now’ within the ‘download your media library’ tab. The page will then guide users with further instructions about downloading and saving their data.

“Discontinuing Ovi Share was a business decision to help us focus on our core Nokia service offerings. The new business unit Location & Commerce, established in June 2011, is now in the center of our revised services strategy, bringing you leading location-based services like Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps and Nokia Transport,” mentions a recent post on the official Nokia Conversations blog.

Although the website will breathe its last on May 31, new uploads will be stopped from March 13. The sharing service will not allow users to save new content from the aforementioned date. Data download can be done as one single folder or multiple individual files. The blog page recommends part by part download for account holders who are prone to experience slower net connections.

The Nokia Ovi Share will not be accessible from May 31 this year. In December 2011, the company had also announced the termination of Ovi Contacts.
