Nokia Messaging for social networks beta now with Twitter support

Nokia Logo Nokia handsets now augment their social networking capabilities with the latest version of Nokia Messaging application dubbed Nokia Messaging for social networks beta. With this release that adds Twitter support, Nokia users can tweet right from their handset’s homescreen.

According to the official Nokia Beta Labs Blog, the Nokia Messaging application enables users to upload pictures and videos. Nokia users can also view upcoming events, birthdays and import them to device calendar. Further, Nokia Messaging for social networks beta version allows users to search their friends. This ‘social networking’ application also features click-to-call, click-to-SMS and click-to-FB email capabilities.

Reportedly, the first iteration of the social networking beta was introduced in September and facilitated Nokia users to view, post, and comment on messages, share their location and status while keeping up with their Facebook friends from their Nokia handsets.

Presently, the application is available on Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini and Nokia 5800 handsets. Nokia envisages the introduction of this application on more handsets in the near future. Nokia users can download and test drive this social networking client from Nokia Beta Labs.
