Nokia Maps Navigation to enter Latin American market via América Móvil

Nokia has teamed up with América Móvil to introduce its latest location based services to its customers in Latin America.

Nokia and America Movil logosThis is part of bigger plans between the two companies to push cutting edge innovation in 3G data services into the untapped Latin American market. They have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding broader services collaboration.

According to Blanca Juti, Nokia Vice President for América Móvil, “Nokia mobile devices, combined with Nokia Maps and value added navigation services, put our social context in the palms of our hands We’re pleased to bring to consumers in Latin America, collaboratively with América Móvil, our deep knowledge on maps and connectivity, building the ability to always know where we are and what is around us.”

Nokia Maps allows user to navigate through varied locations whether it be an unfamiliar address in their home city or a holiday destination. It offers both visual and voice guidance in 46 languages across 60 countries and more.

Nokia Maps can be enjoyed by those customers who purchase any Nokia GPS enabled mobile phones.
