Nokia intros Nokia 2600 classic and Nokia 1209 Handsets

Nokia 2600 classic and Nokia 1209 Handsets Nokia has unveiled two mobile phones, dubbed the Nokia 2600 classic and the Nokia 1209. These phones come with useful features and wide range of colors. The company also offers exchangeable covers for consumers to customize their phones.

First is the Nokia 2600 Classic phone that sports a number of entertainment features such as FM radio and VGA camera. This phone has been developed to allow users to personalize their handset with colors and fully changeable Xpress-on covers. You are also allowed to set MP3 ring tones.

Alex Lambeek, Vice President, Entry Devices, Nokia, expressed “The Nokia 2600 classic offers a colorful sense of flair and a robust set of features at an exceptionally accessible price. As with all Nokia devices, it is backed by a brand that stands for quality and durability.”

Expected to be available in first quarter of this year, the Nokia 2600 Classic handset will cost 65 Euros (approx. Rs. 3,715).

Next is the Nokia 1209 phone which comes with a additional cost management functions that allows phone sharing with ease. It incorporates pre-paid tracker, a cost-tracking application as well as the multiple phonebook, enabling up to five people to store personal contact lists of up to two hundred numbers on a single phone.

“Phone sharing is a logical trend – more and more families are purchasing a mobile phone for the entire family to use, not just the head of the household. In addition, digital cameras are quickly becoming more popular in these markets, and as such taking and sharing digital images is becoming more common,” continued Lambeek.

“In response, Nokia has developed a number of innovative features like the multiple phonebook to support phone sharing, and we have added technologies like Bluetooth to some models to make transferring images and ringtones easy and affordable,” he said

Moreover, the phone offers Nokia’s intuitive user interface, dust resistance along with up to 80 languages support. It features a one-piece key mat for durability and reliability.

Priced at 350 Euros (approx. Rs. 2000), the Nokia 1209 will be in stores by second Quarter of this year, worldwide.
