Nokia comes together with the Russian mobile operator MegaFon to introduce a mobile email service based on Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email solutions.
This service branded as MegaSync is offering mobile email, advanced attachments handling and task synchronization to MegaFon’s users which is available from November 2007 on the Nokia E90 Communicator and Nokia E61i Business Device.
According to Petr M. Prokofiev, Project Manager, New Technologies and Projects Department, MegaFon, “We were looking for a highly flexible solution that would also allow us in future to offer mobile email to large companies that want to implement the solution behind the firewall.”
He further continued, “We will offer the service on Nokia E90 Communicator and Nokia E61i business devices, but compatibility of the solution with other vendors’ devices was paramount, as we want to offer as much flexibility to our customers as possible.”
Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email is part of Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite which allows the users to access to powerful collaboration tools such as email, contacts, calendar, device management and synchronization of file and data enterprise application.
Other than the Nokia Eseries range, Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email also supports 100 different devices like smartphones and even basic phones.
Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email supports any groupware environment like ISP, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes or Groupwise and can function on any kind of device platform, Symbian, Windows, Palm or Pocket PC.
