Nokia focuses on its service strategies to offer more third party applications

Nokia Logo The most recent announcement from Nokia reveals its plan to focus more on its service unit strategies as well as to open up the door of opportunities for third parties. The company aims at offering an improved and much simplified user experience across its services.

While planning to focus investments on fewer proposals, the company is aiming to increase the use of common enablers across certain services. In addition to this, all the exciting mobile games will now be available at the Ovi Store along with their existing channels.

“The planned changes are aimed at improving and simplifying the user experience of Nokia services, increasing opportunities for third party developers and other partners to create compelling services, and accelerating the development of a common platform for Nokia’s different service offerings,” comments Niklas Savander, Executive Vice President, Services, Nokia.

In order to boost the image capture and sharing features on Nokia devices, the company will add several third party partners such as other image and social networking sites. This will help the company to enhance the Nokia device experience of those customers who actively use third party customers. In this way, it would also eliminate the cost of developing the service on its own.

Additionally, Nokia is planning to streamline its internal IT and compatibility & industry collaboration activities. The company also says that approximately 450 employees globally will be engaged in the development of this plan.
