Nokia Bots upgrades with Symbian^3 support

Nokai Bots Symbian^3

Quite often most of us have wished that our handsets would perform all the routine tasks on its own, without us having to worry about them. Nokia had previously unraveled an experimental app that helps users carry out their routine tasks in a quicker and easier way. Dubbed Nokia Bots, this app has now been upgraded with additional support for Symbian^3.

Nokia Conversations elucidates that the app can now be accessed on Nokia C6-00, C6-01, N97, N97 mini, N8 and C7. So what exactly is Nokia Bots? Well, it placidly sits in the background and analyses the owner’s usage habits learning from them. A simple habit such as switching the profile from General to Silent at the same time every night can be copied by and carried out by the app automatically.

The company had witnessed certain minor issues in the previous version, thus it has released a fresh update with several bug fixes. First up, the Alarm bot now wakes up the phone when it switches off, whereas the Alarm icon sits atop in the status pan when it is active. Users can now change back to other profiles from the night profiles. Certain problems faced with images in the Shortcut bot and Contact bot have also been corrected.

Most importantly though is that Nokia Bots now renders support to Symbian^3 devices. Those Nokia loyalists who wish to access the app need to head over to the Nokia Beta Labs. However, users need to sign up to the Labs to access it.
