Classic Games For Asha Touch

A blast from the past is what the 22 classic games from Namco Bandai aim at delivering to all Nokia Asha Touch devices. These titles are said to be optimized to take advantage of the touchscreen employed on the aforementioned series which made its debut just last month.

The list of classic games launched for the Nokia Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311 devices include popular titles such as Brain Exercise with Dr Kawashima, Ridge Racer Drift, Final Fantasy, Ace Combat Northern Wings, Soulcalibur, Flight Control and Pac-Man. Starting today, each of them can be picked up through the Nokia Store from around the globe.

James Kucera, head of mobile for Namco Bandai Games America, commented, “Our partnership with Nokia perfectly illustrates the strengths of our brand’s experience and leadership in the mobile games industry and fits our mutual resolve to bring games to all mobile users worldwide.”

Nokia Asha Touch series

Launched during the first week of last month, the trio of touch-enabled Asha handsets arrived with a catalog of shades to choose from, packing in a host of features. Being affordably priced, the devices are touted to deliver a smartphone-like experience. They even come with the new Nokia Browser that aims to reduce data consumption by compressing content up to 85%.

The 22 titles from Namco Bandai, including the ones we’ve mentioned earlier, for Nokia Asha Touch devices are priced between $0.99 and $2.99. What’s more, with Nokia’s extensive direct billing agreements with over 145 operators in more than 52 countries, users won’t necessarily need a credit card to purchase these apps.
