Nokia Asha 308 and 309 price and release date details enter the scene

The Nokia Asha 308 and 309 price and release date details connote the expansion of the company’s Asha Touch family. The Finnish manufacturer has also developed 2 new web tools to offer a ‘rich’ internet experience on the new handsets.

Both the devices are equipped with a 3-inch WQVGA capacitive display and 32GB microSD card support. They are capable of running on 2G networks and offer multiple home screens, loud speakers and stereo radio for entertainment. As a matter of fact, the Asha 308 features dual SIM capability, while the 309 is its single SIM version with Wi-Fi. The former’s dual SIM status is further accentuated with Easy Swap technology for convenient switching between cards.

“Our innovative Asha Touch family of devices is designed for people who want a great smartphone experience with lower running costs. By introducing the Nokia Asha 308 and Nokia Asha 309, we’re expanding our affordable smartphone lineup and bringing new mobile experiences to more people,” cited Timo Toikkanen, executive vice president, Mobile Phones, Nokia.

As seen with many other Nokia devices, the cookies come preloaded with 40 EA games as well as social networking applications such as Facebook, Twitter and more. It is for the first time that these members of the Asha Touch lineup will have direct access to YouTube through the device’s integrated browser. In addition to the gadgets, the company’s Xpress Browser platform will now boast of web applications such as Nearby and Life+.
