Nokia 8 with Snapdragon 835 SoC, Zeiss dual cameras lands in India

The Nokia 8 has officially arrived in India and is all set to be sold via Amazon and offline outlets starting from October 14. The phone will set buyers back by Rs 36999, much lower than the Rs 45000 expected based on its price abroad.

This is good news for consumers on the lookout for a phone that boasts of flagship-worthy specs like a Snapdragon 835 processor and dual cameras without costing as much as a Galaxy Note 8. The Nokia 8 will instead have to contend with the likes of the OnePlus 5 which starts at Rs 32999 for the 6GB/64GB option and ends at Rs 37999 for the 8GB/128GB one.

In comparison, the Nokia 8 packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. Rumors of a 6GB/128GB model recently came to light, but it’s expected to hit countries like Germany and the US first. Interestingly, HMD Global claims that all the units sold here will be Made in India. It’s bundling the phone with an extra 100GB of Reliance Jio 4G data and Nokia Mobile Care Concierge Service.
