Nokia 225 is company’s slimmest Internet phone to date

Touting an extremely affordable price tag, the Nokia 225 has jumped out into the open as the company’s slimmest Internet phone till date. Equipped with a 2.8-inch display as well as a 2MP camera, this device will be sold in both single as well as dual SIM forms. Its estimated price in Euros is €39 which translates to around Rs 3,200 against today’s rates.

Set to be made available in red, yellow, green, black and white color options, the Nokia 225 features a dust and splash proof keymat. It is 10.4mm thin, and grabs the company’s Series 30+ OS. Weighing in at 100.59 grams, this handset occupies a 1200mAh battery inside its slim form factor. This power unit stays true to the Finnish brand’s trademark and offers a long battery life of 21 hours of talktime.

A 2MP camera with support for capturing QVGA videos has also been granted to the device, apart from 2.8-inch QVGA display. The Nokia 225 kicks in microSD card support for expansions of up to 32GB. Its connectivity options moreover include Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM support, a 3.5mm AV connector and a micro USB charging port.

The release date information of the Nokia 225 still hasn’t been revealed but its maker has indeed mentioned that it will be out during the second quarter of 2014 in ‘select markets,’ and India will most definitely be one of them.
