Although no official statement has been let out about the launch of the dual SIM Nokia 208 or even the Lumia 925 in India, the fact is that both of these devices will be arriving shortly. The Nokia country-specific website has already listed the two gadgets with the coming soon tag slapped on them.
The Nokia 208 was unveiled recently along with the 207, a non camera variant of the former. It comes in two versions with either single or dual SIM card slots, but it looks like only the latter has made it to the subcontinent. Complete with the Xpress browser, the phone offers access to 3.5G internet networks and allows users to access social networking websites, check emails, browse the web on the go.
In spite of the fact that it is a basic phone, the company has added a 1.3MP fixed focus camera to the mix complete with features like 3x digital zoom, panorama, self-portraits with voice prompts, sequential shots and more. Its 2.4-inch LCD transmissive display is accompanied by an alphanumeric keypad and the device based on the Series 40 platform draws power from a 1020mAh battery which can cough up talk time of about 12 hours in 2G.
As for the Lumia 925, this latest flagship Windows Phone 8 gadget from the Finnish manufacturer brings a 4.5-inch multi-touch screen along with an 8.7MP PureView camera. Its AMOLED ClearBlack display spurts out visuals in 1280 x 768p resolution and has a pixel density of 334ppi. And the screen should withstand scrapes and scratches as a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating has been reinforced on it too.
Moreover, the handset relies on a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor ticking at 1.5GHz and operates with the help of a 2000mAh battery. A 1.2MP webcam, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard memory are just some of the many other things that can be found on its specifications list.
The price and availability details of the Lumia 925 and dual SIM 208 will be revealed at a later date.
