Nokia 2 set to hit stores on November 24 at Rs 6999

The Nokia 2 was launched in India last month, but HMD Global chose not to disclose its cost or availability details beyond a vague mid-November promise. This situation is now at an end as the brand has revealed both missing pieces of the puzzle.

HMD Global is selling the Nokia 2 starting from 24 November and has slapped the device with a Rs 6999 price tag, putting it on-par with rivals like the Redmi 4 or Y1 Lite. The former Xiaomi phone even has a 4100mAh battery to better compete with the newest kid on the block.

Battery power is the main attraction of the Nokia 2, with the brand claiming that it’ll last for up to 2 days. Reliance Jio is giving away 45GB of additional data to anyone who buys the Nokia 2. Users will have to shell out Rs 309 or above across 9 recharges to get 5GB of free data handed to them per recharge. They’ll have until 31 August 2018 to avail themselves of the deal.

The other big offer involves a 12-month accidental damage insurance scheme by Servify. Nokia 2 owners must download the Kotak 811 app and open up a savings account with a minimum of Rs 1000 as the first deposit to get their hands on the plan.
