New Puzzle Bobble game out now for iPhone

New Bust-A-Move

Companies developing games for the iPhone seem to have discovered a witty way of translating the famous phrase, ‘old wine in a new bottle’. Well, Square Enix’s wholly-owned subsidiary Taito Corporation has released the next installment in the Puzzle Bobble series dubbed New Bust-A-Move.

Refurbishing the classic match-three bubble-bursting play which was first packed in the 1994 original arcade, this game now comes with innovative features, fresh level types as well as control methods. This recent chapter in the puzzle-solving franchise enables gamers to perform new moves such as the latest Jump Shot. The newly included hopping move makes it possible for players to launch a bubble on a selected point by leaping over inserting hurdles.

Thanks to the innovative design and ingenious features, gamers can boast of their Hold ability, thereby saving loaded bubbles. In addition, the Bomb Bubbles capability facilitates players to eliminate the adjoining fizz. Whereas the Game Over Countdown feature draws a clear distinction between this installment and others in the series. It offers a three-minute countdown as bubbles touch the surface, extending some time to players for surpassing the challenge.

To further expand the fun quotient, the developer has included an array of stages into the game. These include the 80 Story Mode stages and approximately 55 Achievements, all of which enrich the classic narrative. While the Story Mode ingredient is encompassed with varied themed areas and boss battles, it also allows gamers to collect special bubbles for unlocking hidden levels.

New Bust-A-Move is up for grabs on the Apple App store at the price of $4.99 and €3.99. The game has been designed to unfold a gratifying experience on the iPhone and iPod Touch powered by iOS3.0 or later. Besides, iPhone owners can also lay their hands on the previous chapter in the series namely Bubble Bobble Double at a discounted price of €2.39 from February 4-14, 2011.
