New Potato Technologies slides in TuneLink appcessory for iPhone

TuneLink Auto

We had earlier reported on an interesting appcessory known as Jackpot Slots being rolled out by New Potato Technologies. The company has now introduced the TuneLink Auto appcessory for iPhone owners. It has been crafted for in-vehicle audio and links the iPhone with the vehicle’s sound system wirelessly.

This offering can be operated through FM or directly connected to the car’s auxiliary (AUX) input. With this fresh and innovative appcessory, handset owners will be able to indulge in their music through the car’s speakers. It bunches up a Bluetooth transceiver, a FM transmitter and a 2.1 amp fast-charge isolated USB charging port. What’s more, it lets multiple users share the same TuneLink Bluetooth connection allowing them to play music on the same car speakers. This is done using the ‘Share’ functionality integrated in this solution.

“In our view, a great car solution should be heard and not seen. We have created TuneLink to be small, portable and stealthy to serve this vision. We have delivered a high fidelity Bluetooth car audio solution with new innovations such as automatic reconnect, our audio sharing modes, and our exclusive Humbuster noise eliminator that will dazzle and delight even the most discriminating audiophile” remarked Stuart Ross, CEO of New Potato.

“New Potato is addressing the hot-button topic of distracted driving head-on in TuneLink. It switches from music to your existing Bluetooth headset when a call comes in. When the call is finished, TuneLink switches back to playing your music. The Bluetooth switching is all done without the user having to do anything. It’s great, you never miss a call or a tune and you do it all without taking your eyes off the road” asserted Rick Case, Vice President of Sales for New Potato.

The TuneLink hardware is controlled using the free application which can be downloaded from the App Store. The combination of an accessory and app will let drivers concentrate on the road rather than their iPhones. With the Humbuster noise elimination technology, it touts to offer a high level of audio quality. TuneLink is compatible with all A2DP Bluetooth capable iPhone models.

The TuneLink appcessory can currently be picked up from newpotatotech.com. It is scheduled to be available in select retail outlets by mid-December for $99.99.
