New iPhone App to offer Personalized Training

WalkJogRun App

Ok, hold on, this new app may help in actuating the purpose of that tracksuit before it finally finds an abode in the ‘chifforobe’. Pretty interestingly, Coach Jenny Hadfield and website WalkJogRun.net have recently joined hands to unveil an all-new app. The WalkJogRun Running Routes app is the first of its kinds to feature plans from a professional running coach.

Whether users are fastening belts for their first race, or sixth marathon, the app is designed to help people become, or stay committed to their exercise routines. Coach Jenny and Howitt worked together to develop 23 training programs for 5k, 10k, half marathon, and full marathon races. Each plan can be customized by experience – beginner, intermediate, and advanced – with the option to walk, run, or walk/run the distance.

“I wanted give myself an extra nudge to get out every day to train. I’d like to qualify for Boston someday, and I needed something to help me be a bit more consistent,” stated Adam Howitt, co-creator of WalkJogRun.net.

Further, to help keep runners on track, users will receive a silent pop-up notification each morning indicating the day’s plan. For additional convenience and comfort, the app’s icon on the phone’s homescreen will have a badge indicating how many minutes users have to run today.

The WalkJogRun Running Routes app for iPhone can now be snapped up for $2.99 from the iTunes Store.
