Instantly uploading and sharing holiday or birthday photographs with family and friends is now just a click away with this new app. Yahoo and Flickr have unveiled the Flickr photo app which lets users seamlessly share images through Windows Phone 7-based handsets.

According to a post on the official Flickr blog, this app has been updated quite a few times since it landed in Marketplace a couple of weeks ago. The latest 1.1 version of the app lets users view photos on stunning high resolution displays. Simply tapping on a photo springs it to a full screen lightbox view, wherein people can zoom in to get a closer look.

An included geo-location functionality presents photos on a full-screen and interactive map and allows users to view even nearby geo-tagged photos via the Flickr community. The latest uploads from anyone’s contacts and recent activities can be accessed by just swiping through panoramic blades. Fans can seamlessly share photos with family friends and via email, Twitter and Facebook too.

The Flickr photo app can be downloaded through the Windows Phone Marketplace.
