Believe them or not, there are some great rumors abuzz. It is rumored that iPhone now will be made available in 3 colours – black, silver and white. The 3G iPhone in the three stunning colours will be made available by Swisscom, a famous carrier in Switzerland.
Yes, this time it is yet another carrier releasing iPhone but in 3 different colours unlike America’s AT&T which has iPhone only in black. The rumors also claim that the Swisscom iPhone is smarter and cooler than the AT&T ones.
The rumors don’t stop there. Although, it has not been declared officially, there is a grapevine claiming that the 3G iPhone by Swisscom will have models with two different capacities released. One model with 16 GB and the other one with double the capacity, that is, 32GB will be made available. While the iPhone having 16GB capacity is priced at 659 Swiss francs (about $630) the one with 32GB capacity is priced at 799 Swiss Francs (about $772).
While one rumor claims that the 16GB Apple iPhone will be made available only in silver the other claims it to be available only in black. What both of the reports have in common is that it will the 32GB iPhone which will come in 3 different colours.
The Switzerland based telecommunications Company is distributing the iPhone in 118 Swisscom shops and Apple’s in-development own-brand retail stores in Zurich and Geneva only.
The new carrier in collaboration with Apple has also set its usage tariffs as per which the iPhone users will be charged 40 Swiss Francs per month, while those calling other Swisscom mobiles or landlines will be charged 45 centimes per hour and those dialing up other networks will have to pay 45 centimes per minute. The data transfers may cost 50 centimes per megabyte and SMS messages may cost 20 centimes each. The carrier has thus levied tariff rates as per the network used instead of tariff as per call durations.
Now again we will have to wait for the rumors to know whether the capacity of the Swiss iPhones will exceed 32GB or whether the pastel, neon or sheer metallic colours are on the iPhone colour chart! However it is already speculated that the next-generation Swiss iPhones will be shipped in June.
