Love flipping through pages with some voice in background? Here’s something to keep readers as busy as a one armed paper hanger! Audiofy Corporation has just announced the Audiofy app is available now in open beta for Android-powered devices. With this new offering, users can now enjoy audiobooks in seconds.

Emerging as a store and audiobook player in one, the Audiofy app allows users to easily snap up and listen to books on their Android-powered devices. Audiobooks in the Audiofy store can be purchased through the Audiofy app on Android handsets such as Google Nexus One, enabling readers to browse and buy more than 13,000 titles.

“We are excited to be offering our audiobook service to Android users. The Audio Publisher’s Association forecasts that consumers in the $2B audiobook market are rapidly transitioning to digital solutions. Audiofy is working to deliver a better way for mobile consumers to discover, purchase and enjoy audiobooks,” commented Daniel Wagaman, Audiofy’s president.

Apart from this, the software lends support to the purchase, secure distribution and playback of both DRM-protected and DRM-free audiobooks. With this app, users can now search for, merchandize and start listening to an audiobook on either 3G or Wi-Fi in seconds.

Android users can sign up for beta and download the Audiofy app from the official website of Audiofy.
