NDTV, July System Meet to introduce NDTV Active Mobile Channel

NDTV Logo and July System Logo New Delhi Television Limited which is commonly known as NDTV, a news channel has joined hands with July Systems, a provider of entertainment media for mobile phones to launch the first service to provide news on handsets known as ‘NDTV Active’.

The NDTV Active will allow users to view programs where ever they are with personalized service, content and promotions on their handsets.

NDTV Active will feature personalized sports, business and entertainment news, real-time video updates, photo galleries, personalized alerts, cricket scores, interactive services like polls, comments, sharing with friends, content downloads and more.

NDTV Active will also offer a personalized, interactive and completely customizable multimedia mobile not only that but also wallpapers, ringtones and content downloads which are offered by the portals.

Sanjay Trehan, CEO, NDTV Convergence explained, “The NDTV Active mobile channel will give users a great new way to interact with the NDTV brand and stay in touch with the latest news, information and favorite shows anytime and anywhere.”

“We selected July to power this initiative as their solution allowed us to offer a truly “full service mobile channel” with user personalization, real-time updates, interactivity and an integrated brand experience to our users by extending our relationship with the consumer from our TV and online properties to mobile,” added Trehan.

NDTV Active mobile channel is going to power July’s SmartMedia Solution with the help of other companies by using the mobile 2.0 features like personalized services, real-time video, multimedia alerts, interactivity, sharing, tagging and on device agents.

The NDTV Active service is expected to launch in a few weeks and will be made available to the subscribers of most Indian mobile operators.
