MTNL and 3G Jadoo service Logo After it’s launch in Delhi, MTNL now brings its 3G services known as Jadoo in Mumbai. This service is compatible with any 3G enabled mobile phone, laptop or netbook.

With this service, users will be able to access Internet at a high speed, watch videos and TV on their devices. The 3G service will provide rich mobile multimedia content from the Internet and is expected to bridge the gap between urban and rural India.

MTNL has already launched its 3G telecom services in New Delhi and is expected to enthrall 100, 000 customers by this year. Moreover, MTNL has also planned to expand its 3G service in Delhi in the next 2-3 months covering major cities and towns.

MTNL had planned to launch its Jadoo service in Mumbai by February but its launch has been delayed now. In order to launch the 3G service in Mumbai, MTNL has already set up 720 base transceiver stations in the Mumbai Circle.

By now, most of the mobile phones support 3G, which offers fast Internet connectivity and file downloads as well as high quality voice calls. Apart from Delhi and Mumbai, MTNL also plans to launch its 3G services in Bangalore, Chennai and other cities soon.

While the 3G Jadoo service will be launched by May 2009, there is no word on its tariffs as yet.
