Motorola unveils H17txt MotoSpeak Bluetooth Headset

Motorola H17txt Motorola has announced the launch of its new Bluetooth headset the H17txt integrated with MotoSpeak. The headset has been designed keeping in mind the hazards caused due the usage of phone while driving. This headset makes sure that the user is alert and connected at the same time both on and off the road.

The headset was devised to maximize the text-to-speech technology and experience by pairing it with an application that reads text messages (SMS) into the headset. Moreover, the user has been given the power to personalize an automated response and automatically enable text-to-speech when the headset is switched on. The application which enables this feature can be downloaded from multiple application stores including the Android market by looking up for ‘MotoSpeak’.

Wayne White, Corporate Vice President, Companion Products, Motorola Mobile Devices annotated on the device by saying that, “Motorola continues to promote responsible driving, by helping users keep their hands on the wheels and eyes on the road, no matter what comes in on their mobile phone. H17txt with MotoSpeak reflects an enhancement in Bluetooth connectivity where consumers are able to stay connected in a more responsible way.”

The headset apart from converting text-to-speech messages in a swift manner also supports certain other features. When the device is switched on, text messages are directly read out through the headset. Furthermore, users do not need their phones to check on the sender, as the sender’s name is announced before the message is read. Users get the privilege to set either an automated message or a personal message to be sent back while the user is driving. The headset can even decode the SMS slang, thus helping the user understand the message completely as it is being read out.

When the headset is configured with a Bluetooth enabled phone, the headset provides turn-by-turn directions to the driver alone and not to everyone present in the car. Apart from this, voice prompts inform the user on battery level, mute status, how to organize the headset for the first time, etc. The headset also allows users to enjoy other multimedia facets like music, videos and games through hands-free comfort. Users in the US can purchase the headset from Verizon Wireless Communications Stores or online as per their convenience.
