After hitting the US not so long ago, the Motorola Razr Maxx steps into Europe with a battery life offering approximately 17.6 hours of talktime. So that means users can linger on with their conversations or activities a little longer than they would normally do.

In terms of its principal specifications, the smartphone functions on a dual core 1.2GHz processor and the Android OS. Like other devices from the company, Corning Gorilla Glass graces the 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced screen. Notably, it is touted to be protected by a splash guard coating that takes care of all the electrical occupants inside.

Featuring 1GB RAM, the phone operates on a 3300mAh battery that offers standby time of approximately 607 hours. As for photography, there’s an 8MP snapper strapped on the back panel. Currently, the handset operates on the Gingerbread OS which is upgradable to ICS, states the company.

“Razr Maxx isn’t changing the rules – it’s creating a whole new game. Building on the RAZR heritage it combines the pinnacle of design with mind-blowing power and an incredible battery life that is perfect for people who want to push their smartphone to the limits. Whether you want to watch hours of movies, or don’t want to worry about charging between meetings, this latest smartphone from Motorola redefines boundaries and banishes the low battery beep to history,” commented Maurizio Angelone, VP and GM, mobile devices, EMEA, Motorola Mobility.

The inclusion of Smart Actions brings automated encounters into the picture to help users manage their tasks like switching on the silent mode or increasing the volume of the phone more conveniently. What’s more, the Motorola MotoCast app stays right in place for streaming multimedia or work-related content.

Pushing up the desirability by a notch or two is the fact that the Motorola Razr Maxx sports a profile which is not more than 8.99mm in thickness. Moreover, the body of this fresh entrant is reinforced by Kevlar fiber that adds to the ruggedness of the chassis.

The Motorola Razr Maxx release date and price details have not received a mention as of now. It is expected to hit parts of Europe and Middle East from May 2012 onwards.
