Motorola Logo Following the Milestone 3 handset announced by Motorola in China, another phone makes its debut in the country. Just released, the Motorola MT870 smartphone is supposedly the first dual-core TD-SCDMA 3G handset in the world. It is also said to be the first phone to come from the Mobile Market-SHOP4APPS application store which is a brand new store created by the partnership between Motorola and China Mobile.

Mobile Market-SHOP4APPS claims to bring a varied lineup of services and apps. Each core of this dual core phone runs at 1GHz and comes with the latest Android 2.3. This 16:9 4-inch qHD screen phone claims to offer superb 3G experience to its users. The company says that through this phone users can surf the web two times faster. On a Wi-Fi network, the phone becomes super-responsive and enables users to close and open apps quickly. With a quick network, users can read news, check mails and do a quick search at the same time.

“Our partnership with Motorola has a long and successful history, and we are pleased to collaborate with Motorola on the launch of MOTO MT870 and this brand new app store. Possessing an HD (1080p) video recorder, this phone lets users experience mobile-computing with the combination of Adobe Flash player and an HTML browser. This 8MP camera phone with built-in LED flash captures apparently brilliant videos and pictures which can be shared with others owing to the phones ability to support DLNA, WLAN and HDMI output.

Sanjay Jha, Chairman and CEO of Motorola Mobility, Inc. stated, “Motorola’s goal is to bring the best mobile experience to all users around the world. China is our second largest market in the world and we have a tradition of creating premium devices and premium experiences specifically for Chinese people. The launch of MT870 and our joint app store with China Mobile is a great way to continue this tradition.”

This new phone is endowed with features such as providing support for 3D games, a large 1880 mAh battery and pre-loaded latest versions of multi-media Sticky Notes, business card and text scanning. It has up to 40GB of storage, of which 8GB is internal and an optional external microSD card of up to 32GB is provided.
