Motorola Moto X3 with 5-inch display surfaces on Zauba

The Motorola Moto X3 has been spotted on Indian import/export site Zauba with very few details regarding its features. It looks like the handset has been shipped to New Delhi from the US for testing.

The only major specs which can be gleaned from the listing is that the screen of the Motorola Moto X3 measures 5-inch and it features single-SIM support. Its price is mentioned as Rs 6812, effectively marking the phone as an entry-level offering. However, it should be noted that Zauba values don’t always reflect the final cost of the product.

Still, the figure does hint that the Moto X3 will likely be part of the brand’s top-notch specs at an affordable cost formula. The listing was first spotted by Roland Quandt of Winfuture.de fame. He thinks the handset may be the first device by the brand to feature the Moto by Lenovo moniker.

To recap, Lenovo had announced its intentions to eliminate the Motorola branding from its phones and replace them with the phrase Moto by Lenovo. This had triggered widespread dismay, with worries that the parent company would end inexpensive Motorola series such as the Moto G and Moto E.

Motorola had dismissed these fears at the time and assured everyone that it was not planning to do so. Still, Lenovo did outline its intentions to streamline its Vibe range of smartphones with Motorola’s in order to present the former as affordable handsets and the latter as the more premium option.
