The Moto G phone’s demand in India may have prompted Motorola to release the Moto X in the country and we can now confirm that the latter is definitely arriving through Flipkart. According to the e-retailer it will initially be exclusive to it, just like the Moto G and some launch day offers will also be introduced for potential buyers.
What we are absolutely sure about is that Moto Maker is not coming to India right now. However, interested customers will get the option to choose between multiple shades including black, white and blue. And what’s more, Flipkart itself has confirmed that a couple of its wood back versions called walnut and teak are on their way to the subcontinent as well.
Let’s take a quick look at the specifications of the Moto X. It is a 4.7-inch smartphone that employs an AMOLED touchscreen of 720p resolution. Thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass coating, scrapes and scratches stay away from the phone. It is based on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS and brings all the common connectivity features like 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and more.
Moreover, the phone in question brings a 2MP webcam as well as a 10MP snapper for making video calls, capturing images and recording videos. It is powered by the Motorola X8 Mobile Computing System which brings a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Adreno 320 GPU, a natural language processor and a contextual computing processor. 2GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB onboard memory have also been tossed into the mix.
