Motorola Moto G spotted on Amazon UK, starts at £159.99

That the Motorola Moto G is coming on November 13 is already known, but what we did not know is that Amazon UK will be wasting no time in releasing it. The e-retailer had put up the device on its website and had listed November 14 as the launch date. And as far as the price of the phone is concerned, the 16GB SIM-free version costs £159.99.

Also, as AndroidOS reports, only recently, a certain Motorola XT1032 was benchmarked and it is nothing but the model number of the phone in question. Amazon has also listed the device with this moniker. But it seems like the shopping portal had mistakenly put the handset up as it has now disappeared.

Not much is know about the phone, but rumor has it that it will rock the Android KitKat platform. 16GB of onboard memory is likely to be present and it may not be expandable, like the Moto X. Also, you are likely to find a quad core processor under the hood. It is apparently clocked in at 1.2GHz.

Its 4.5-inch multi-touch display is said to be capable of rendering visuals in 1280 x 720p resolution and will be accompanied by dual cameras. A 5MP camera rests on the rear panel, while a 1.3MP one is embedded alongside the display. An 8GB variant of the phone may be in the pipeline too.

The unlocked Motorola Moto G is priced at £159.99, while the carrier-subsidized version is likely to retail for £135. An event to release the smartphone is slated to be held in Brazil on November 13.
