Motorola Moto G is indeed coming to India in early January

Motorola has itself confirmed on Twitter that it will be launching the much-awaited Moto G in India early next month. Even when the device was launched, the Google-owned company had revealed that the device plans to make its arrival in the subcontinent in 2014. An exact release date has still not been revealed though.

The announcement was made in reply to a tweet by @rajkumar_geek. We are expecting the smartphone to make its debut sometime in the next 2 to 3 weeks, which means an official press note should be released in the next few days. Also as is the norm these days, we may even come across the phone on one of the numerous online retailing websites.

Interested users should know that the Jelly Bean 4.3-based Motorola phone has the potential of competing with a lot of mid-range devices currently ruling the roost and it will not even break the bank. A decently-sized 4.5-inch LCD touchscreen dominates the front panel and offers visuals in 720p resolution. Its pixel density is 329ppi and it brings a 5MP camera as well as a 1.3MP webcam.

Its internal working is carried out under the supervision of a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that can clock in a maximum speed of 1.2GHz. An Adreno 305 GPU has been tossed in along with 1GB of RAM for enhanced graphics and smooth navigation. You can choose between variants with 8GB and 16GB onboard memory, but it is not expandable.

Key specifications:

– 4.5-inch 720p touchscreen
– 5MP camera, 1.3MP webcam
– Android Jelly Bean 4.3 OS
– 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor
– 1GB of RAM
– 2070mAh battery

Details regarding the Motorola Moto G’s price and release date for India are currently under wraps.
