New Motorola Moto E smartphone aims at crowded low-cost markets

Yet another render of the Motorola Moto E has been outed and this time around it comes in white, courtesy of @evleaks once again. So far, we’ve seen the device in black, turquoise and lemon yellow. The press shot of the white variant is the newest one to make a break for it via @evleaks, before Motorola rolls it out officially tomorrow.

The launch event for the Moto E is scheduled to take place in India (New Delhi) and London simultaneously. This is definitely not the Moto X successor we’re expecting, but an entirely new handset which may be even cheaper than the Moto G. The last mentioned sells at Rs 12500 to Rs 14000 depending on whether you pick the 8GB or 16GB version, respectively.

The Moto E is purported to hold onto a price tag reading below Rs 10000 and right now, the only visible rival is the Lava Iris X1 which is reported to have better features on some counts. Flipkart will once more get to be the exclusive vendor of this upcoming smartphone, a privilege it enjoyed with the Moto X and Moto G too.

The Moto E is Motorola’s attempt as establishing itself in the low-end smartphone market as firmly as possible. It has already witness flyaway success with the last two budget devices launched in the Indian market after all.
