The Motorola Moto E second generation smartphone has officially been launched in India, and the new version of one of last year’s most successful phones is all set to go on sale at midnight. It will be sold in the form of its 3G model exclusively through Flipkart at the same attractive price which its predecessor bore when it first arrived in the country, that’s Rs 6999. There’s no word on when the LTE variant will arrive though.
The second gen Motorola Moto E runs the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS; but that’s just one of its many highlights. It features a larger display than its predecessor, while there’s even a front VGA camera onboard this time around.
It has retained a 5MP snapper on its rear surface, but the new model offers auto focus and 720p HD video support. Motorola has moreover, transferred some interesting software traits from the Moto X onto this new device. Prime among them is the functionality that lets you launch the device’s camera with just two flicks of your wrist. Then there’s even the Moto Display trait present on it for letting you access your notifications without waking up the entire device.
