Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) breaks Flipkart exclusivity

The Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) is now available on Amazon India, effectively ending its exclusivity deal with Flipkart and Myntra. The listing on the site states the smartwatch will be in stock by January 8.

To recall, the Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) arrived in India just over a month ago. Its price continues to begin at Rs 19999 on Amazon. The e-commerce site is currently only selling the men’s collection of the device. Furthermore, it’s got exclusive rights to the 46mm Cognac Leather variant of the gadget.

The new version of the Motorola device can be bought in exchange of Rs 20999. There’s also a 42mm model made out of the same material for Rs 19999. Other variants include the Black Metal Bracelet for Rs 23999 and Black Leather Band at Rs 19999.

Specs-wise, all units of the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) are powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with the support of 512MB of RAM and an Adreno 306 GPU. It contains 4GB of internal storage and runs on Android Wear. The wearable is compatible with both the Android and iOS platforms.

Motorola has tried to enhance the ruggedness of the product by equipping it with IP67 certification, which means it’s dust-tight and waterproof for up to 30 feet for 30 minutes. The 42mm model of the gadget carries a 300mAh battery, while the 46mm unit packs a 400mAh one.

The Moto 360 additionally ships with an optical heart rate monitor and promises to keep track of the user’s daily activities. It’s capable of recording information like the number of steps taken in a day and calories burned. The watch works with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to deliver messages, news and the weather.

Once again, the Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) is now up for purchase on Amazon India and can be bought starting at Rs 19999.
