The Motorola Droid X2 smartphone has been in the news for quite some time now. Well, the wait is finally over with Verizon Wireless and Motorola Mobility now offering the second-generation Android powered handset. Fuelled by Android 2.2, which can be updated to Android 2.3, the phone should allow users to mix business with pleasure. It claims to give users the ‘Do everything on a smartphone’ feature with its powerful performance.

Internet savvy users can enjoy a seamless web experience with fast loading of web pages and Adobe Flash player enabled by Verizon Wireless’ first dual-core 1GHz processor. Users can play video games, type emails and watch movies on the 4.3-inch screen with anti-reflective qHD display. What’s more, the screen is scratch resistant and delivers sharp and clear images. For all those who love to ‘say cheese’ to everyone around, the handset provides an 8-megapixel camera having ongoing autofocus and good quality HD video capture. All photos can be posted on social networking sites from one place itself using the new gallery application.

The device further includes a Mirror Mode that enables users to connect the content to a larger TV through an HDMI output It has support for Google mobile services including Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Google Search, and Google Maps. Permitting 3G sharing with up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices through its interactive mobile hotspot feature, there’s also a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology for quick and easy typing. The Motorola Droid X2 is now up for grabs online through Verizonwireless.com. It would be available in Verizon Wireless Communication Stores on May 26 for a price of $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. A subscription to the Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and a smartphone data package is what’s required to make the most of this phone.
