Motorola Defy Pro headed to Brazil

Motorola Defy Pro

The ‘tough yet classy’ Motorola Defy Pro is ready to make its way to Brazil, the Google-owned telecom corporation headquartered in Illinois has announced. The ‘life-proof’ Android-based smartphone comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.7-inch Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen display. The last we heard of Motorola dipping its toes in Brazilian waters was when it launched the Motokey 3-Chip, capable of accepting 3 SIM cards.

Targeted at professional use with a bit of fun on the side, it’s pretty obvious that the phone comes with Wi-Fi so that users can surf the web, stay updated on all things social and keep e-mails in check. It also has GPS functionality for those who like to take long trips without having to ask for directions. And the built-in 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash will keep your pictures bright and clear. The Quickoffice app makes reviewing and editing documents simple on the go, while the MotoPrint function allows printing documents directly from the phone.

“You’re constantly on the go, whether running to the office or running around town. Finally, there’s a smartphone designed to keep up with your work and personal life. Motorola Defy Pro is ready for anything and will never let you down,” Edson Bortolli, products director, Motorola Mobility Brazil commented.

The Defy Pro even features a few instrumental dashboards which are there to help keep your day organized and running smooth. In addition to the Wi-Fi connectivity we’ve already touched on, there is a microUSB connection, plus DLNA and Bluetooth connectivity. A 2GB memory card is provided, but storage is expandable up to 32GB. And of course, access to Google Play is implied.

The Motorola Defy Pro price hasn’t been revealed yet, but the smartphone is expected to be made available in Brazil starting July 15.
