Motorola Deck Bluetooth speaker arrives in India for Rs 8990 a year later than its US debut

The Motorola Deck Bluetooth speaker has been officially launched in India and it is being offered exclusively through Flipkart just like all the other devices from the OEM. The speaker system is amongst the priciest in its category setting you back by Rs 8990.

The Motorola Deck has just entered into India, but isn’t exactly a new product. The device has been on sale in the US since over a year now. It was originally tagged at $199.99 and is now selling for $129.99 (around Rs 8K after conversion) which is at par with its price in India.

The device was jointly developed by the OEM and Sol Republic which is a well-known manufacture of audio products. At the said price, the speaker system will have to go up against the JBL Flip and Charge as well as the Beats Pill by Dr.Dre which are popular choices and even cost less.

Design-wise, the Deck is quite attractive and is capable of delivering 360-degree audio through the inclusion of the R2 sound engines. It comes with an outdoor mode which cranks up the volume for a better experience in the open. Being Bluetooth 4.0 powered, it can stay connected to devices as far as 300 feet away.

You’ll also be able to make hands-free voice calls and get it connected to your phone or tablet via NFC. And when in a large group, the Heist Mode lets up to 5 Bluetooth devices stream music which avoids the hassle of disconnecting and reconnecting the speaker. The main highlights of the system are that it’s very slim and weighs just 0.325kgs. Battery life is pretty impressive as well, at up to 10 hours.

The Motorola Deck Bluetooth speaker can be picked up through Flipkart in options of gun metal, blue and lemon lime.
