The Motorola Charm that had previously been launched in the U.S through T-Mobile, is now making its way through to the Indian docks. Motorola raises the curtains to exhibit the Charm in order to allure Indian customers. The handset proffers a comfortable blend of QWERTY and touchscreen.

Running on Android 2.1, the device comes with a Backtrack navigation pad which is fitted just behind the screen. This lets users navigate effortlessly without taking up any space on the already full front panel. It adorns a 2.8-inch TFT touchscreen display fashioned with Corning’s robust scratch-resistant Gorilla glass. The phone has several personalization options like seven homescreen panels, customizable widgets and much more. This beauty flaunts pinch to zoom and two-finger swipe functionality along with a full suite of Google Mobile features.

“Motorola strives to excite the Indian consumer with the three-way navigation capability – touch screen, QWERTY keyboard and the Backtrack making messaging, browsing, social networking fast and easy,” asserted Faisal Siddiqui, country head of India, Motorola Mobility. “Charm offers a compact design, easy handling and all the features you would expect from a smartphone. Enjoy sophistication and business functionality, effortless navigation with intuitive gestures with the Charm’s large display and keyboard.”

The Motorola Charm sports a 3 megapixel camera with Kodak Perfect Touch technology and digital zoom. Audiophiles might appreciate the fact that the music player is connected via internet. It supports additional storage of up to 32GB and comes with a 2GB memory card included in the box. The handset provides users with talktime of up to 357 minutes and a standby time of up to 365 hrs. It integrates stereo Bluetooth and aGPS as well as CrystalTalk Plus technology for augmented audio and call quality.

The Motorola Charm is coming to India through Aircel for Rs. 13,990. The original MRP of this device is Rs. 15,990. The carrier has even included two offers for handset owners who purchase the device through Aircel.
