Flipkart teases Moto E, could go up for sale on May 14th

There’s so much Moto E in the air, no need for Flipkart to tell anyone about it being speculated to go up for sale on May 14th. The smartphone has been popping up in some form or the other all over the internet and now Flipkart has posted a teaser image implying it will exclusively be selling the new Moto.

A Motorola event is scheduled to take place in London and India simultaneously on May 13th, that much is official. There was a little confusion as to its name, with some speculating that it will be called Moto E, while others feel a Moto X+1 is due to arrive. It’s not clear if both devices are one and the same or not.

Motorola Moto E

A listing unearthed India’s imports watchdog Zauba, and picked up on AndroidOS.in shows the Moto E having landed in the country for Rs 6330. Don’t get excited yet – the handset is likely to cost less than the Moto G according to the Motorola event invite which says ‘Priced for all.’ But Rs 6330 is way too less and does not include the taxes and duties that will be added to the tag when it hits retail.

Flipkart Moto E

Flipkart is the exclusive seller of the Moto X and Moto G in India; the retailer will also have boasting rights as the only online vendor of the Moto E. It has posted a teaser on Twitter going ‘Goodbye old phone. Hello new Moto.’ The first photo shows the smartphone placed beside the Moto G, a leak which was sprung by a user on Facebook and reported by Android Police. The forthcoming device is on the right and is smaller than Motorola’s cheapest current offering.

Brazilian seller FastShop, put up pictures of the phone in question along with its features. The page has been pulled, though PhoneArena managed to grab the details as well as images.
