Moto C Plus with 4000mAh battery hits India

The Moto C Plus has gotten launched in India roughly about a month after it made its debut alongside the Moto C. The latter has already made headway into the country priced at Rs 5999.

The Moto C Plus offers a number of upgrades over its sibling, warranting its slightly higher Rs 6999 cost. For one thing, it boasts of a higher-capacity 4000mAh battery. The unit is supposed to last for up to 30 hours at a stretch, with Motorola touting that it’ll easily last users a day on a single charge.

Motorola’s further granted it a better 5-inch 720p screen and 8MP rear camera. The second is accompanied by an aperture of f/2.2, LED flash, a 71-degree field of view, and autofocus abilities. There’s also a basic 2MP shooter up front paired with an LED flash unit to light up selfies in the dark.

The Moto C Plus counts on having a close-to-stock version of Android 7.0 Nougat to set it apart from competitors. The entry-level market sector is highly competitive in India. At its cost, the handset will have to stand-off against the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 4, another big battery phone starting at Rs 6999.
