The Mobilicity BlackBerry Torch 9810 by RIM recently made its way to Canada. The smartphone runs on the latest BlackBerry 7 OS and features the refreshed 2.0 version of the Social Feeds app which displays updates from media and favorites in a single comprehensive view.

The Torch 9810 gives users the option of typing in content either through the integrated 3.2-inch 640 x 480p VGA transmissive TFT LCD touchscreen or the full slide-out QWERTY keypad. Based on the design of its BlackBerry counterpart, the Torch 9800, this handset possesses 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB through the microSD card slot.

With dimensions that read 111mm x 62mm x 14.6mm, this Mobilicity device comes equipped with a 5MP primary camera featuring 4x digital zoom, HD video recording, geo-tagging, zero shutter lag, auto focus and Flash. It is built to deliver a speedier and smoother web browsing experience as well as improved multimedia capabilities owing to the incorporated 1.2GHz processor and Liquid Graphics technology.

The BlackBerry device provides talk time and standby time of up to 6.5 hours and 12.3 days, respectively on the 2G network. Additionally, this handset operates on a 1270mAh lithium-ion battery and offers music and video playback time of up to 54 hours and 7 hours.

The Mobilicity BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone is now available for a price of $499.99 at Mobilicity stores across Canada. Mobilicity customers can benefit from the regular monthly rate plans covering $10 data and $5 BlackBerry Internet Service add-ons which may be availed of at a 50 percent discount for up to a year.
