As far as flash sales in India go, Thursday’s spotlight belongs to Micromax’s Yu Yureka and its makers have already made clear that a whopping 30000 units of it are all set to be made available today through Amazon. This smartphone costs Rs 8999, and will begin selling at 2pm, but only to those who have registered for it beforehand.
The last sale of 4G LTE capable Micromax’s Yu Yureka also saw 30000 units being offered to eager buyers, and they managed to run out of stock in just 6 seconds. This kind of a high demand for it has arisen mainly due to its extremely affordable price tag, considering the kind of specs it has on offer.
Yu has equipped it with a big 5.5-inch IPS panel which showcases its visuals in 720p HD resolution. Another aspect that attracts a lot of buyers towards it is that it runs the Android 4.4 KitKat-based Cyanogen 11 OS. Moreover, an update to the Lollipop-based Cyanogen 12 OS has also been announced for it, and is right around the corner.
The Yureka runs on a 1.5GHz octa core Snapdragon 615 processor that’s assisted in its operations by 2GB worth of RAM. There’s a 13MP rear camera onboard the device as well, apart from a 5MP selfie unit.
